My friend, Stephanie is the founder and owner of Moon Rivers Naturals. Stephanie started making organic soaps from her home kitchen when she had her first son. She wanted to know what was going into her family’s bodies through their skin. What started off as what Stephanie saw as a family need quickly turned into much more.

Soon after Stephanie started making soaps, her friends and family wanted her soaps, too. This quickly led to her setting up a booth at the local farmer’s market to sell her handmade soaps and lotions.

She now, along with her husband, owns a retail and wholesale shop selling their soaps, lotions and other skin care and bath items locally and through their online shop.

What started out as her love of making soaps has led to a full time business that Stephanie and her husband run together.

Katherine is a full time teacher and teaches two weeks of swimming lessons each summer. The income that she makes from these lessons pays for her family’s vacation each year.

Her students love learning how to swim, their parents are so much more at ease now that their child knows how to swim, and Katherine loves being able to teach them such an important life long skill.

Katherine is serving others, loves what she gets to do, and makes a great side income each and every summer. You can bet she loves her family vacation even more because she was able to pay for it with cash from her side business.
